You're probably right, John P. But I'll bet even a sloth could move faster than a turtle in the top of a tree.

My husband's hair didn't go gray overnight, but it seems like it. he's in his early 40s and a year ago he didn't have any gray hair. Now I'd estimate it's about 30 percent gray. All in one year!

Nothing else in our life has really changed. No new jobs, or stress or any medical conditions or anything. his hair is light brown or blond. Do you think lighter colored hair goes gray quicker than dark hair? Just curious..

I wonder who would win a race between a a sloth and a box turtle. If its in a desert, I'd put my money on a turtle. And cuz a sloth would get eaten by a lion in the desert.

Shea- I think that's common with many tadpoles. They are much darker when they first hatch and become lighter as they grow. And eventually become green or brown when frogs. Thanks for commenting!

Brown- that does seem to go against conventional wisdom. I guess if the question asked was Why are so many babies born with blue eyes? the answer above would be more correct.

Anyway, I hope anyone reading this post will also read your comment and realize that there are some families (and perhaps cultures) who aren't as prone to have babies born with blue eyes. Thanks for commenting.
