The goal is this project is to become the largest repository of science questions and answers on the entire Internet. A lofty statement indeed, as Netcraft’s most recent estimate (March 2008) counts 162,662,052 websites. Of course, this isn’t counting web pages or taking into account that there are often multiple sites on the same domain. An actual count of web pages is practically impossible but current estimates have it in the tens of billions.
Want to help with our goal? That’s easy. Just ask a question. Most serious questions (and some not-so-serious) will be answered by our volunteer group of scientists. Do note that questions will be reviewed and answered by a human, so you might not get an answer immediately. But we do make an effort to answer all questions in a timely manner.
Every question that gets asked and answered will help our Q&A database grow, so don’t be shy about asking! But please do take a look at the types of questions that are being asked and answered before you submit your own question. Asking an algebra problem that is obviously from your homework set will not likely be answered. There are plenty of other sites to help you cheat on your homework.
And lastly, see the page on how to join the experts if you would like to contribute in that capacity.
